Peter M Bliznick (Executive Director) – Prior to discovering the Peninsula’s great weather and refusing to leave, this Illinois native earned his master’s degree in directing from Northwestern and then bravely battled Michigan winters as Director of the historic Ramsdell Theater and Professor of Theatre and Communications at West Shore Community College–a post he earned at age 25. In the 28 years he has been at the helm of Palo Alto Players, Peter has produced for the community nearly 150 shows in Palo Alto, dozens of musicals under Peninsula Center Stage in Redwood City, and several summers of free Shakespeare-at-Woodside. He is eternally grateful for the discerning and supportive audience members who have gone on these journeys with him and he remains in awe of the amazing actors and artists who call the bay area home.  This director, designer, actor, singer, part businessman, part dreamer, and homebody-at-heart, has also found time over the years to design and build two of his own homes, the first overlooking Lake Michigan, and more recently, a getaway in the Sonoma County redwoods.
