Theatrical productions—those home-grown in the very communities they serve—are immensely important to this nation’s artistic fabric.
Today, however, the continuance of some of this country’s oldest grassroots companies, like Palo Alto Players, is being threatened not only by the proliferation of stay-at-home entertainment options like video games, pay-per-view services and online streaming, but also by an economic environment that makes all of us think twice about where and how we spend each of our entertainment dollars.
Help further the good work of the Peninsula’s oldest and most highly regarded theatre company in the San Francisco Bay Area by making a gift to Palo Alto Players.
Your gift of $25 – $100 might buy fabric for costumes, wigs or makeup. Your $250 – $500 could supply lumber and paint for the sets, rent for lighting instruments or wireless microphones. $1,000 – $2,500 goes a long way in hiring the services of the many directors, choreographers and designers required to present one season. And it takes several gifts of $5,000 or more to pay for orchestras, printing and postage, and for the licensing fees charged us to produce the plays and musicals on our stage.
Only charitable giving bridges the gap between ticket revenue and the costs of production. Please make a gift today.
We have several giving levels and every gift makes a difference, be it $10.00 or $10,000.00.
