Planning Your Visit
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION: The parking lot at the Lucie Stern Theater is under construction through early 2020. What this means is the current parking lot has been reduced to 27 parking spaces and is only accessible from the Hopkins Ave entrance, as the Middlefield Rd entrances are being used for construction traffic. As such, we recommend giving yourself at least an extra 20 minutes when traveling to the Lucie Stern Theater, as you may need to access street parking of the surrounding neighborhood and walk a little bit further than normal to reach the theatre. We'd also recommend carpooling or ridesharing as much as possible. For patrons with mobility issues, we recommend using the drop-off area at the front of the Lucie Stern Community Center, at the corner of Middlefield Rd and Melville Ave.

HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS: All seating is reserved seating. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling our box office at 650-329-0891. If you selected Will Call for your tickets (for an additional $1.00 per order), they are available at the theater beginning one hour before showtime. You may be asked to show the credit card used and a photo ID. If time allows, tickets can be mailed for an additional $2.00 per order. Our free method of ticket delivery is Print At Home, meaning you may print out your tickets and bring them with you to the theater, or you may simply show the QR code/barcode on a smartphone at the theater.
DISCOUNTS: Our family of subscribers receive incredible savings off of regular ticket prices. In addition, there are also discounts for seniors (62+), educators, patrons 30 and under/children, and military available for all performances except Previews.

If using a promo code, don’t forget to enter it when ordering online or be sure to tell us when calling. A party of 10 or more always qualifies for a “Group Sales” discount except on Preview performances.
PERFORMANCE VENUE AND OFFICES: All of our performances take place in the Lucie Stern Theater, built for us in 1933. The address is: 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. Our administrative offices, including our daytime box office, are also located at the theater and patrons can find us by entering through the single door to the right of the theater’s main doors.
PARKING: There is a free parking lot just steps away from the theater as well as hassle-free street parking nearby.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: Various locations in the theater can better accommodate patrons with limited mobility. To purchase wheelchair accessible seats, please call the box office at 650-329-0891.
ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES: Headsets are available in the lobby prior to each performance. You will be asked to leave your ID until the headset is returned.
CREDIT CARDS: For tickets and donations, Palo Alto Players now accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Credit cards may also be used for concessions sold in the lobby before the show and at intermission with a minimum purchase of $6.00.
ADDITIONAL FEES: It’s Palo Alto Players mission to keep the cost of attending live theatre affordable. Where necessary, certain per-ticket fees are added onto ticket prices. These include a $1.00 transaction fee and a $2.00 Theater Use Fee assessed by the City of Palo Alto.
